Today's post is going to be on the topic of waiting tables.
As people know, I am now a server for Two Rows, and today was the second shift that I performed on. Today was a good day, pulling about twenty-seven dollars, not to shabby for a lunch shift.
I admit though, that waiting tables is not everything that seems, mainly because people have no clue how much work a waiter endures to make sure that their tip at the end of the meal is sufficient. For some people, waiting tables is their source of income and always will be, but for some (ahhmm....me) waiting tables is a mere summer job so that I can have some money for college. So it does annoy me to a point when I work my butt off, which in turn receives more tips, which means that I get more tables. It then somewhat annoys me when I hear people complaining that I have gotten "sat" (term for a hostess sitting a new table in a servers section) twice and I have a big top (large party). It's all good though, especially when I see my tip from the table.
I guess I can conclude this to being that I have some more learning to complete before I'm college bound.
